I've been making 140 to 190k a week for a number of years for the H folding team, but due to about 4 years of financial hardship I need to start shutting down PCs when not in use. Cutting them off will save me $20 to $30 a month. I know that EVGA is once again creeping up on us but I need to buy food and whiskey once a week so it is with a heavy heart that I must cut the cord.

Anyway my FaH username is KingSalami if any of you care. Good luck to all of you I'm hoping to be able to return in about 4 to 5 months.
 
We definitely care. And wish you luck. There are sometimes things more important than folding in life. Like family. So take care and we'll hold down the fort while you're away!
 
Take care of yourself first. At the end of the day this is really just a hobby for most of us non-scientists and every now and then we need to re-prioritize our lives.

With all the mess going on with F@H from BigAdv to Core 17, now would be the perfect time to take a extended break as you wont be missing much. Right now a lot of [H] is cooling off, but when EVGA starts to perk up in a few months people will be back. ;)

GL your first responsibility is towards self and family...

We are still creaming them overall on the DC front...that will not change...
 
Thanks, all for the support.

I have a 3yo to feed and work has been rough. I can't do any projects as I'm shutting these down completely when not in use. I can do 95% of what I need to on my phone and tablet and these PCs are just a luxury for doing work and playing games. $20 to $30 extra a month doesn't sound like much but we are only negative about $120 a month income so anywhere I can cut costs will buy me time till I get my next job.

I'm going to wait till the current unit fishes tonight and then I'm cutting the last PC off.
