I have two harddrives, and a cd drive now. I wanna get a shuttle. But with my two harddrives, and my dvd rom and burner and after all that a floppy its not really practical. should i get another case because i think the whole thing is i don't like my case
but shuttles are so l337

any good ideas?

Loose the cd-rw (assuming this is what you meant by burner) and the dvd-rom drive and buy a quality dvd-burner.

With that config you would have more media options than before and just enough room for your dual HDs.

I guess, or go for a lian li pc 60 case, and end my case woes, tho after the cxg fiasco ( cs gaming event where the eventers scammed everyone, stole hundreds of thousands, and people looted everything in site, over 100k was stolen worth in shuttles,) I REALLY WANT A SHUTTLE NOW, but do dvd burners play dvds? never really though about that

i guess, but then i am floppy less, can dvd burners read dvds these days?
i assume so
but then i would have to make a immage of the dvd then burn that using nero via my dvd burner, so hard

Yes DVD Burners play DVD. Also my SN41g2 has 2 WD120 and a Pioneer A03 DVD Burner. Maybe get a Pioneer A06 or Sony DVD Burner because they also burn CD's. And 2 HD are fine. Yes you loose the floppy, but who still uses that.

If you use XP, you really don't need a floppy drive anymore (maybe for BIOS updates, but there are now Windows-based updaters from most of the major mobo manufacturers). In addition, many HTPCs made with SFFs like Shuttle usually use a multiformat DVD burner as their optical drive. If you're really paranoid though, get an external multiformat DVD burner and have a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive for your Shuttle.

If you don't plan on burning DVDs then just go with the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive...And you don't really need a floppy now...
