Shutdown Problems

I just upgraded my computer and have an interesting situation arising. When I attempt to shutdown (either if I manually do it with the power button or from Windows), my computer only restarts. If I hold down the button during the boot process, that is the only way that it will shutdown.
Here are specs that may be relevent to the issue:
Motherboard: Gigabyte K8NNXP 754
PSU: Antec SL400
I would only think that those would be involved in this problem.
If anyone has any possible ideas about this, please let me know!

If you are running XP, turn off auto-restart. You may be getting a bluescreen when attempting to shut down, causing the automatic restart. This wont solve the problem, but may help pin it down.
 
However, the problem isn't necessarily related to my Windows install. If I try to power down before my computer begins to boot from my hard drive, it will shut off and then restart.
Strange.
 
Yes; there is nothing in it about this sort of problem.
Also, there is no BSOD when I go to shut down (I turned off the auto-shutdown). The computer can only be shut down during the boot process by holding the power button.
 
are you sure you wired your pwer leads correctly? You now power button, pwer led , etc?
 
I think it might be an issue with one of the MB drivers. A friend of mine had this same problem, I'll ask him what his solution was.
 
Wake On Lan/PME/Mouse/Keyboard/etc ?

Disable them all in your BIOS. I had this problem with all Seanix systems we had in for a month. After that they started disabling Wake On stuff in the bios by default. We'd been doing it for a few weeks for our customers.
