Whats the actual purpose of using a shroud with your rad? Why not just attach the fans directly?
 
If your fan is to close to the RAD you get 'dead' spots that little to no air is going over.

Think about it. Your fan has blades, but it also (unless you got a $200 Edge Controlled fan) has a huge motor in the middle that blocks air from that area.

It is good to use one... Accept it as that.
