Should i upgrade?

I currently have a 5700le
it works ok but its getting pretty dang slow
i was thinking of upgrading tto either a 6600gt or a 6800nu
i got about a 250 dollar budget
i got a 300 wat psu with 18a in 12v

what are the rest of your system specs ? agp or not ?

i think you would need to upgrade your PSU if you chose either of those
cards. for 250, you probably could do both.

the egg has an MSI 6800 vanilla PCIE for 164.00 after a 30.00 rebate.
w/o rebate, you can grab a PNY 6800 vanilla PCI-E for 169.00. also from the egg.

with the remainder (about 90.00) you can look at antec PSUs.

AGP right? If so, having $250 to spend how about the x800xl for $230 AR. ($260-30 rebate)

PS. If your PS has trouble you can find a nice 400w to 500w PS for ~$50or less. usually no reason to spend more unless you biulding an extreme system. I have had great luck with rosewill products lately. Good quality at great prices.
