i just got 500 bucks for my b-day and i want to know if it was worth it for me to upgrade my videocard. i have a 6800ultra to a 7800GTX?

well, whats the rest of your system?
Either way, I'd say no, no point in that right now, unless you need to play above 1600 res
 
The 7800 is akin to having Ultras in sli and dont let anyone tell its not. I have owned Ultras in sli and the 7800gtx actually performs bettter overall .

You buy a 7800 gtx and sell your Ultra. Its birthday money enjoy. You iwll hvae money left over to buy something practicle if you wish
