i have a question for all the gamers should i upgrade my video card form the ATI9600pro to the ATI9800xt ? cause they r pretty cheap now days . how much of a perf. inc. will i see in games .
here r the games i like to play

by the way i just order a a64 3000 \w a msi kt8neo .

i want to b able to run games like D3 and HL2 a pretty decesnt FPS .

Definitely upgrade, or you could save up a little more and get a 6800gt.
EDIT: 9800xt's still cost $360 on newegg, save up another $100 or so and get a 6800gt
 
A 9800xt is waste, the 6800 non-ultra is cheaper ($289), 15-30% faster, and has more features.

And the 6800GT is just a bit more ($40 more) and over twice as fast.

Go with the 6800 or 6800GT.
