should i upgrade or wait?????

my pc:-
1700+ (DUT3C)
gigabyte ga-7n400 pro2 rev.2
seagate 80gb sata
2x256 geil value ram (overclocks extremely well, had it up to 235fsb )
msi ti4200
audigy (not ls)


i was just thinking about upgrading my pc and get my self a a64 pc

but is it a good idea to upgrade my pc rite now or should i wait for the new stuff coming out q1 2005??????
if i dont buy a new pc what do you think i should upgrade in my pc?
p.s i do a lot of gaming!

Upgrade, because waiting is always going to be an issue. And from your current specs its time for one

Well basically get a new PC, since you said you wanted to go the A64 route. OF course you can reuse the RAM, sound card, and probablly hard drive.

I would consider getting a new mobo/cpu, a new vid card, and possibly upgrade to 1 gig of ram

What do you use your computer for? If you just watch movies and work in Word or Excel, then you don't need to upgrade. I havn't heard of anything really good coming out Q1 2005. If you play new FPS and encode videos then you might want to upgrade.

i use my computer to play game's like far cry, doom 3, vice city,etc..etc


i was thinking of waiting for the amd motherboards with socket 939 and pci-express to be realesed.
