I have a Pentium D 820 2.8ghz processor and 2gb of kingston 667mhz memory. I would like to know what would be a better upgrade: an e6550 cpu or 2gb 800mhz crucial ballistics memory? I'll mostly be gaming! Thank you!!!
 
processor over memory as you can take up the slack of the ram by overclocking. But the next question would be what video card are you running. Because here you dig a ditch also, if you get a fast cpu and have a slow video card you create a bottleneck there also. Wish you good luck with your cpu though.

I just tried overclocking, with the easy overclock feature, by only 5% and wierd stuff happened, freezing restart not booting, odd! I set it back to normal, but I should be able to overclock easily!
