Should I upgrade my Dell 2405fpw to 2209WA?

Has anyone done this? Is it worth it?

I would lose the resolution - but my 2405fpw is getting old and is in need of an upgrade. I ruled out u2410 cause of the grainy screen. I'm looking for something more energy efficient.

I might even do 2 2209WA's not sure. One at a time maybe.

I certainly wouldn't want to go down in resolution. It might be a slight upgrade going from PVA to IPS, but not enough to be worth the resolution drop. If you go for two, however, that would be pretty sweet. I'm a fan of dual displays for productivity, though for movies/games on a single display you would still lose a bit. I think pretty much all LCDs are reasonably energy efficient.

It is my understanding, though, that the 2209WA and u2410 have a similar "grainy" anti-glare coating, both being the same kind of IPS panel. The 2209WA has had complaints about that, but I didn't find it bothersome.

I just placed an order few days ago to upgrade my Hanns.G 28'' lcd to dell 2209wa.
So i will upgrade it if i have a big HDTV.
