Running a i7 920 stock speeds with a scythe mugen 2. Fans are all quiet/low speed, which might be part of why overall temps are high, but the difference between cores seems a tad extreme.

Temps for core 0/1/2/3
Idle: 40/33/38/32
20 mins prime 95: 61/55/57/52

I know there is always a small difference in core temps, but 9c seems a tad bit high. Is this normal or is my thermal paste probably messed up?

typically i7 core 0 will be a tad higher and core 1 is usually the lowest of the cores, my personal preference is for difference in temperature to not go over 5 degrees during idle. but seeing how even 20 minutes prime gave you a top temperature of only 61 degrees, you'll live if you just leave it be.
