I'm thinking about buying my friend's fx-51, SK8V, OCZ EL registered PC3200, 9800XT. Everything will total up to like 500 bucks only =)

Would you do it?
 
yea buy it, depends on how long you were going to wait to build a new computer anyway. If its in a year don't bother, but 2 years or longer go for it.
 
depends if u plan on not upgrading for the next 2 years like someone else said... if not then buy the parts and enjoy for a looong time then milk the speed out of them by overclocking when they are like 3 or 4 years old.. :)

Yea, I know it's a great deal. If I do decide to get it offa my friend, it'd be the waiting system for the maturity of PCIE
 
You didn't say how much memory, but it sounds like a good deal to me.
