Should I open it up?

I just got my TDX block today that I bought on these here forums. Now IDK if I should open it up and clean out some of the grime in the block? I know I'll be breaking the warranty sticker etc. And also how would I go about cleaning it?

The only warranty issue at stake with opening the block up is the "leak free" guarrantee. You do NOT void your warranty against any other defects.

I say if there's crap in there, open the thing up and clean it out. No question.

edit: Here 's a link to the RBX FAQ, which addresses that same question.

You don't actually void the warrenty if you pop it open. that sticker is only there to assure you that it works when dd shipped it out.

How should I clean it? I've heard of people using ketchup, or vinegar? I may do the same for my maze4.

I used ketchup, but then the base oxidized again :'(

White vinegar seems to work quite well. My TDX and Maze4 GPU were stained from using food coloring in my loop (Noob mistake, don't do it. Ever. Period. No questions. kthxbye.), and soaking them in vinegar overnight cleaned them up quite well.
