Should I leave all my electronics with either removable or built in rechargable batteries always charging?

I mean I don't have many items: Power drill, dyson hand vac, and cell phone to name a few.

I thought I read before that certain kinds of batteries significantly lose their ability to hold a charge when left to discharge for long periods of time.

Would be great if I could unplug some of this stuff without worry instead of plugged into an outlet all the time.

It wont 'overcharge', most devices will stop charging once at 100%.

Id still unplug them to conserve energy, itll add up.

Most modern devices have smart charging capabilities that will stop charging when the batteries are full. These types of devices it is safe to leave the charger connected.

Alot of older devices with NiCad batteries normally don't have smart charging type circuits. Almost all Devices with Lithium Ion batteries should have smart charging circuits.

That all depends. If you had them connected to a solar panel that was pumping power into a battery and inverter, then I would say go ahead. Otherwise, they do drain bits of power 24/7 that costs money.

Will whatever holds the charge in the battery start to deteriorate (significantly) as it dischargers if not recharged for a while?

I think I read something about this in regards to my Dyson vacuum where people had bought theirs new but their batteries were not holding their charge as it should. People came to the conclusion that it was because before they had bought their vac's that they'd probably spent several months in a warehouse with no charge causing the batteries to deteriorate. I can't find that specific thread anymore but that's where my question is coming from and why at the moment I leave everything plugged in and charging.

I'm not worried about overcharging my devices. I figure the internal circuitry takes care of that.
