Should I keep my RAID array?

I have a 99% dedicated gaming rig and I've been using a RAID-0 array for awhile now. It just doesn't feel as fast as it should be. I know gaming load times are barely different but Windows doesn't seem to start up quick.

The main reason is because BF2 makes some screaching noise, someone else on these forums with a RAID array has the issue too. It seems someone without a RAID array doesn't have the problem. I think maybe the nVidia software RAID is taking up too much PCI bus bandwidth and starving the sound card.

How much slower would games load if I had one drive be the windows/games drive and the other as a page file/other crap drive?

I doubt you'd notice a difference in game loading speed.

You're better off selling both of them and getting a faster drive. Most people who have RAID-0 do so for their signature, not because they need it or understand what it does. I'll also free up some CPU cycles.

what's faster than a WD1500ADFD?
except for the WD740ADFD, which is only marginally faster
