Should I install drivers for Dell 2209wa?

What are the benefits of installing drivers for my Dell 2209wa monitor?

Actually there was an update for that model's drivers on Windows Update. Now what is the benefit of that?

Does the drivers actually contain color correction tables?
Will all programs take advantage of this?

No.

The monitor doesn't have drivers. What it does have is a random color profile which only has the potential to mess things up.

Do not install. Ever.

Yes. Never use the 'drivers' that come with a monitor. They serve no useful purpose.

I had to install the drivers for my 3007 HC or else it wouldn't work at 2560x1600
