When I have a computer part die on me, its usually my personal policy to not buy that brand again. So, since Western Digital has let me down, is Seagate the best alternative? I saw a 160GB WD harddrive for 80 dollars and a Seagate 160GB for 81 on newegg. And an extra dollar isnt that much to pay, plus i've heard good things about Seagate from my friends... plus there is a 5 year warranty which is nice.
But I dont buy computer parts without a [H]ard recommendation.
So is Seagate my best bet or should I go with a different brand? I really want a hard drive that I can count on.
