Anyone that has one, what are your thoughts? I really like the idea of a completely clear case, but not sure if I should get one. They look cool, but are there any cons associated with it that I should think of first?

Any thoughts would be cool.

Scratch easily and crack easily, harder to make your wire job look nice. Not the case i'd pick for a lan party rig, but would look nice on a desk. Suppose it depends mostly what you want to use it for and what you expect from it.

i have one, just some cons i had with mine is its hard to screw stuff in with thoes gloves they give you, all wires MUST be split loomed or your case will look slopy hard to hide wires because everything is clear, got to careful with putting in stuff IE Powersupply it like to scratch things, put filters on all intake fans to cut down on dust.. but other wise its cool

pro's

light
strong
lan party hit always
looks good
(If You Get Plexi with UV Built it Glows Sexy .. like mine :D)
easy to cut holes and modify

Go ahead and get the acrylic. We saw this one kid at a lanparty, he bought an acrylic. He dropped it and it shattered into like 30 pieces. Computer parts went everywhere and everyone stole them.

Dumbass.

Acrylic aint gonna crack unless you abuse it, like dropping it (as demonstrated above), or being rough with it.

And yeah, nobody mentioned keeping it clean of dust! Dust is a nightmare with acrylic cases.

hey i mentioned dust.. i said make sure you had fan filters on
to cut down the dust... and about droping the acrylic case haveing it shatter..... negitive if you droped it it would probably crack but not shatter unless his case was like paper thin i droped an acrylic case once all i got from it was just a little chip in the corner

personally. i m no fan of acrylic becuz you really can't have a good wiring unless you do some serious modding...

i have only seen like 2 acrylic cases that i liked

ill post mine tonight... well try to post some pic's of it... and dont gimmy any ish about the wires im working on them just reallly lazy to pull out my enermax 500W PS and split loom it ok :D

I have one. PITA to switch out drives. Agree with the cabling issues, hard to do but can be done. I'm gonna replace mine eventually with something easier to transport and mod. Mine can be seen in the gallery but I'll post it again.
