I was view the list of good and bad PSUs, and saw that mine was listed as a bad one (being a Raidmax). Its a Raidmax 420 and it came with my case.

So far, I have seen no problems with it and it seems to be a decent PSU. I have had no power issues, it is quiet and runs medium warm.

What are some of the issues with the Raidmax PSUs? I can't see what would be wrong with it. And, should I invest in a new one? I would like one with better cables so that cable management would be easier and I would risk chafing one. Plus the layout of the cables could be better.

But other than these issues, what is wrong with the Raidmax PSUs? I can't imagine those minute things would qualify it as a bad PSU.

Because, the majority of Raidmax PSUs are plain shit (the ~$100 Topower based ones being the exceptions).. Out of spec rails, stability problems, longevity issues, and so on. I wouldn't run a system such as your with a 420w Raidmax ever. Tehy aren't known for being the most reliable of brands to say the least... You can get a FAR better PSU in the $50-75 range that you can DEPEND on.

Let me put it another way, do you want to risk frying potentially $1000 in parts (or whatever it is you've got into your rig) because you used a shitty PSU? Ultimately, it's all up to you - if you feel confident enough in it, keep it..But don't say the stickies didn't warn you in the event something happens :D .
