ive been using a razer diamondback and it recently died, there tech said they wont exchange it i dunno why but i have $70 i am currently saving for various reason(psp xbox2 pci-e new pc chair new montior)im using a cheap wireless logitech mouse opposed to a sony ball mouse and its killing me. it has a 50hz refreshrate and its frustrateing to use. i was wondering if i should buy another diamondback get a mx1000 mx510 mx518 or wait a month for a plasma dianmondback

If you MUST have wireless, go with the mx1000. If you can live without wireless, go with the 518, im about to get one myself.

does anyone have a diamondback and 518 to compare?anyone know if the 518 can do 1000hz

anyone know of a review that compares them

MX518 if you are a gamer.
I think I'll also get an MX518 (hope it will have no trouble wth my Icemat, an uber-pad I'm definately keeping it).

MX1000 and MX700 are my favorites. If you don't want wireless, you could get the one of the MX5xx ones. I'm still using the MX700 from like 3 years ago. It works flawlessly. I recently replaced the batteries like a month ago, but probably could have used them a bit longer.

I got some 2300mAh batteries from here:

And from what I've heard, the MX1000 batteries have a very long life - you'd probably replace the mouse before the batteries.

I'm personally going to go with diamondback..I tried 3 different mx 510s and i think 2 of them wobbled, maybe all 3. I can't believe that i trust a company like razer over logitech :/
another reason why i want db is because the size seems perfect for my small hands. this ms wheelmousel i'm using is too small but the 510s were too big.

you must have a very small hand..the MX5xx series are the best. You can't go wrong unless your careless with your equipment.

Had a MX700 for a couple years. Got the 510 when it came out. Ended up hating going back to a cord. Luckily the MX1000 had come out. It rocks. I play fps games and have no problem with it.

Talent is talent regardless of hardware.
