im about to buy this hard drive link and i want to know how it is different than normal sata. would it still work in a normal system?
 
As far as the SATA controller is concerned, I don't see how it is different besides the fact that it has the added RAID function (yay! :) ). I say go for it except the fact that I would only invest in an A64 system right now instead of buying new Socket A parts. Just me .02 :p

Yea, I've seen some posts about people having SATA II drives in their Asus A7N8X Deluxe boards, so even with that MSI, I don't think you should have a problem. I'm too poor to afford SATA right now though :(
