Should I buy this SSD?

The SSD you mentioned is good. But it is out of stock.
Amazon has it for only $139. Kingston SSDNow V-Series 2.5in . Hope it helps.

Thanks but, the store where I am actually has it and with amazon, after conversion, shipping and waiting, it's alot more expensive.
 
I wouldn't bother with any kingston V series except the new 40 gig model with the intel controller. The other V's are probably fine for netbooks or something, but if I pay money for an SSD I'd want better than some rather spotty J-micron controllers. The newer ones have supposedly worked out the kinks, but it's still not something I'd pay money to upgrade to vs a good magnetic drive.
 
thats the exact same hardware i bought. the kingston ssd and the cavier black 640. i just got my windows cd last night so i was going to install it tonight and see how it goes. mine was 89.00usd with rebate.
 
Thanks for all the replies but from what Yoda said and a few members at tomshardware, I think I'm going to save up and buy a Intel SSD
