Well I got my new system built today and it looks like I have a stuck core.
Under RealTemp my cores idle at 35 and the other at 28 and when I test the sensor core0 doesn't respond and core1 does. Now under load core0 will go up from 35 to about 38-39max and core1 will go to 42max which is good. But it just seems like temps are off compared to systems of similar settings which reach over 50 under load at 1.3v.
Edit: load was done on prime for an hour and 30min no errors
System consists of
Gigabyte ep45-ud3p
E8400 oced to 3.6 @ 1.3v with vdroop of .05 <<< Xigmatek S1283
gskill ddr2 800
So should I just ignore the stuck temp of core0 at idle and assume that I got lucky with my load temps at roughly 40 at 1.3v.
Or should I look into an RMA and try another different one.
