How do you reattatch the metal clips (the things with the barbs that fit into the plastic piece) and remove them correctly? I want to shorten my cables, but cant find out how to put the metal guys back on. Do i need a special tool?
 
i can get the wires out of the plastic, but then if i cut them i lose the metal plugs that are on the ends. Is there a way to remove those plugs and put the on the shortened wire, or put new ones on?
