Shopping For Thermal Interface Material

I recently purchased a pre-owned waterblock for my 4870x2 card and while it came with all the required screws, it did not include any of the thermal interface material to be used on the memory chips and other components.

I have checked all the regular on-line computer component stores and overclocking suppliers and even found some industrial suppliers (they want me to buy in HUGE quantities!) I thought I would ask here in case any of you know where to buy this stuff in bulk (but not tons of it.)

It looks like this (the pink and black stuff):

When you get it in a kit it may look like this:

If you know of any alternate materials that would serve the same purpose, I would be very grateful for those suggestions as well.

I have tried my local Radio Shack and I visited Orvac's Electronics at lunchtime as they are the biggest electronic component supplier in my area but they had nothing.

Any help would be appreciated and I feel like I have worn out Yahoo search trying to find this stuff. :)

What you are looking for is thermal tape/pad. It's pretty common and can be found here. Also, some blocks/HS's that use pads might also be able to use normal TIM in place of it depending on the spacing and gaps. You will also need to find out how thick the pads are and buy accordingly.

No problem, frozencpu doesn't always have the best prices, but they do have one of the larger selections, and the best choices for thermal tape.
