Hi,

I will be in L.A. next week and I would like to know of good places/good prices to get computer stuff. Any suggestions?

Mobos, memory and power supply would be the main stuff to get.

Thanks!

newegg(.com) is great if you live anywhere in the U.S, though i live in israel when i was in the U.S i couldn't find anywhere near the deals they give etc.

You will be in LA where are you from origianlly. I know most people in California don't use the egg as much since they charge tax in CA. There is always zip zoom fly or tigerdirect or ewiz.

i live in california and i spend plenty at the egg...

if by L.A. you mean Los Angeles, CA, you can go to Fry's Electronics right off the 60 freeway

if you go south a little, there is another Fry's off the 91

go south a little more and off the 5 or 57 i think it was, is a Microcenter

Amazon or Tiger Direct for no tax. :)

NewEgg for fast delivery. They usually ship for me from California, so its here the next day after its shipped.

MBs, memory and power supplies are found with the best prices online.

Out here we have Fry's and Microcenter. Microcenter has loss leader cpus and Fry's has combo deals (as in motherboard + cpu) that start every friday. Fry's also has specials on other items that will appear in the Friday ad.

Avoid Fry's at all costs, even though their prices are usually a bit higher, they have a little bit of everything in stock (not very much in the way of water cooling hardware...except stand alone packages).

It's like Guitar Center for Computer People =P
