After the delay from Jan 20, to Mar 15, to the 24th, now its the 31st. Any word on shopblt retail q9450? I know a lot of us have preorders with them.

Well I have a pre-order with them and should be number 19 for the Tennessee warehouse pre-order list. I've been patient and never really expected anything to ship until April anyway but today I checked the list and the tennessee warehouse has NO processors listed as coming in now. Very disturbing.

I don't know what that does to my pre-order place in the queue now. If my processor will instead ship from another location then I guess I have lost my place in the queue and have been amended to the end of the list from another warehouse. I can only assume I've gone from #19 on one list the very end of some other list. Its not BLT's fault if intel doesn't ship what was expected of course but I wish they would have at least sent me some notification. After all the whole purpose of pre-ordering was to get in line and wait my turn.

I sent them an e-mail this morning about it. Still no reply. Waiting, waiting, waiting.....

I canceled my preorder a few days ago. ... just got a X3350 instead and don't have any problems running it on my mother board.

Yeah, mostly geographical reasons. Also, the day after I ordered the counter ticked over from 18 to 19 for the Tennessee warehouse while the one for Illiniois stayed the same. I don't know about Pennsylvania.

well it looks like its not shipping out today, it would be nice if i got it for this weekend, and if i get it from IL to WI, shipping should be very quick

Well, I got a response back this afternoon:

"We have moved stock around between warehouses to better anticipate demand,
so that when the chips arrive, we can distribute them in the timeliest
fashion possible. Please do not be alarmed, your place in line has been
retained"

I appreciated the response. I'm just not sure what it really means. From the wording it sounds like they are going to take 20 away from some other warehouse to satisfy the queue for Tennessee.

Then again maybe demand was greater in California so they took the 20 from Tennessee to satisfy demand there first (does intel really ship to each warehouse individually after all or does it all go to the one in California and then stock is distributed from there?)

Then again maybe nothing has changed at all......and when they finally do get stock into the Tennessee warehouse (in say...oh.....june), I can rest assured that I will get number 19 thereby confirming that my place in the queue was indeed retained *sigh*.

Ambiguous e-mails that seem to have meaning when they don't really get to me. Kinda like receiving an award for Exceptional Achievment in the Pursuit of Excellence.

If I seem a bit overly frustrated by the situation...well, check out my sig.

and i keep waiting, i feel like a fool. what are they going to change the eta to now?

I am in the same boat, have a Q9550 retail on order from blt, have gotten no information at all about what place in line I am, and whether or not it is on backorder or not.

tired of waiting, i ordered an oem from microcenter and a hsf from some other site... seeing as how im going to oc it anyway, i might as well. i just like the convenience of retail, but now, for about 15$ more i have a decent cooler eh
