Found this on my heatsink today!!! after i cleaned it, my temperatures dropped from 35 idle and 47 load to 29 idle and 36 load. I guess with the 120 CFM of the 92 mm tornado on it, comes a lot of dust

That's pretty bad, how long since you last installed/cleaned it?

I just cleaned my Zalman 7000AlCu. It had a thin layer over the innermost section, but not a huge bulky buildup like that.

My SLK-900U (which I haven't cleaned in months btw) looked EXACTLY like that with my tornado on it. What did you use to clean it with?

I put this whole thing together back in June and that's when I last touched it.

how can you stand the noise that the tornados make? I was gonna use mine on my heatsink, but even with the fan controller its way to loud. hmmm... maybe if I put just the case in a serperate room....

Hehe man, i have 5 tornados.. the 4 ones on the case are on a fan controller and the processor one doesn't bother me much cuz my case is sealed pretty good. I know it's crazy but I live in Egypt, it's hot here... :D

A toothpick gets it out pretty good, then just vaccuum up the small stuff.

Yeah dude, I'm 100% Egyptian.. sadly.. Might be nice for you to visit here, but don't ever think about living or even spending more than 2 weeks here.

no it's not dangerous or anything, it's not like there's war .. Cairo (capital of Egypt) is much safer than New York City for example... but my dad lives and works in Baghdad, Iraq right now... now that's dangerous. :D
