Hello All. Need some help with Shipping.

I have a few larger than 20" CRT monitors that are big and heavy. I do not have their original boxes nor any of the foam padding which is usually present with a new monitor.

I need some recommendations from you fine folks on the best way to package a very heavy large CRT monitor for shipping. I want to make sure the person getting these things gets them exactly the way they left my hands.

I tend to use Kinkos and let them pack and ship fedx. Then the responsibility is on them. Get the insurance as well. Their shipping rates are amazingly good.

Failing that, good heavy box packed tight with foam peanuts all over so nothing can move. Wrap the monitor in bubble wrap first and if possible, detatch the stand.
 
There is a type of liquid foam filled pads which will expand and solidify to fit any shape. Try finding some of those. If that fails, there are shipping centers like the UPS store and Kinkos (as mentioned above) which specialize in that kind of stuff.

Yeah, Pamela Anderson tried those, they work quite nicely on her. :D
 
If you have a shipping company pack those monitors it's going to cost a pretty penny and most likely won't be worth it since they charge outrageous amounts.....
