I bought this OEM from a friend of mine and when he shipped it he left it in a motherboard for me so it was safe.

Now I'm going to sell the 955 just in itself and I'm wondering what is a good way to ship it? I keep thinking the pins will bend with pressure or movement.

Go to the dollar store and see if you can find some of that foam stuff, or even a sponge.

If you have an anti static bag from a hard drive or such, then place it in there. I received one wrapped in a ton of toilet paper, an egg would have survived that trip. Ask the buyer how he would like to see it shipped.

EDIT: Do not ship in any kind of envelope, padded or otherwise. Get a box to ensure the integrity of the pins.

Put a small, thin piece of regular foam to protect all the pins, then place it inside of an anti-static bag, then wrap a bunch of bubblewrap around it and pack it in the box.

WHen it comes to these, I use foam, 2 peices and sandwich it, than I use anti-static bubble wrap and wrap it up right, it sends them nicely! :)

whatever you do, make sure the buyer agrees and consents to the procedure before you ship

I decided to stick the CPU pins in a foam cushion and wrap the whole thing tight as hell with saran wrap :)

When I shipped mines, I use 2 pieces of foam on both sides, wrapped the outside with bubble wrap, put it in a box cushioned with more foam and peanuts and some tape.
