Shimian 27 inch IPS with ps3?

Hi, looking for some help. Just purchased a shimian last week and trying to hook my ps3 up to it. Currently tried using HDMI to DVI cable, as well as a HDMI to DVI converter and then attaching the DVI cable. Neither works.

Some additional info:
the DVI cables i'm using are dual link
so is the adapter
the PS3 does output to my 27inch planar

Any advice or experience out there?
 
Pretty sure you would need the multi input model of the Shimian, as the base model doesn't have a scaler? I could be wrong.
 
You have to select 1280x720 resolution and un-check the others in the PS3's display settings on a different monitor before connecting the Shimian.
 
Well, at least it works wonderfully for my computer. guess i'll take the planar back from the wife and run dual 27 inch on my desk.
