What is a good kind of shim to get? I have seen all kinds, is copper best or a non-conductive shim?

Also, where is a site where i can get shims for a p4 system?

thanks!

shims are useless
so i'll advice you to not get them

also there is no such things as P4 shims

Agreed. Shims just hold heat on the CPU, although, this only applies to AMD CPUs because the heatspreader on the Intel CPU's serves a similar function (protecting the core from pressure damage).

never needed one, myself. just be carefull installing heat sink;)
