My GPU block finally came in today after being on order for nearly a month from PPCs. They sent a hat and a ton of stickers as recompense I guess.

EK DBay D5 pwm bay rez/pump combo
EK Maximus VIII full cover block
EK XE 360 rad
EK PE 240 rad
Bitspower 980Ti AMP! Extreme block

Been through 15 loops of Heaven @ 1440 with max settings. GPU temp sitting at 44°C. My office is ~70°F. So that's a 43°F/14°C rise over ambient. With stock cooler, this would normslly have me close to 70°C. Using Gelid GC Extreme.

Running Amp! Extreme bios on my Omega. 1404/1805 clocks as reported by GPUz.

Ill eventually go rigid or glass. Probably closer to Christmas. Just bought momma a new car earlier this month, so maybe Santa will bring gifts of glass and metal.

that case looks so empty. i guess i forgot what a normal computer looks like when all my builds have e-atx mobos in custom cases. you should spend abit to get sleaved cables the differance in look is astonishing

That's my next step. Should be easy finding a set. My PSU is an XFX branded Seasonic. Nice sets are high $$. Any recommendations on brand/source?

i use a set of sleeved cables i bought off ebay for $50 and they look nice. i would never spend the money on geting the exact length or style you want when you have a backplain to hide them.

No doubt. I've actually considered just getting the sleeved extensions. They're far cheaper.

what about doing that new-fangled threading method instead of combs? it looks good and is cheap.

edit looks good btw

yeah its using thread to tie it together instead of combs. not exactly sure how its done but cannot be that hard and looks like this:
