A massive beauty, though. Didn't expect the CM 690 to be this big, but I guess my components really do need the space, and I'm comparing it to my previous case, which is a fair bit smaller. The Corsair 550 also has some really fat cables.

Seems to be working fine... just had some minor trouble hooking up the motherboard... formatting a partition right now. Heatsink instructions were terrible, but I got it eventually. I hate how I have to really brute-force all the toolless parts of the CM 690 to open/close... even managed to break off one of the little blue switches at the back when I put in the graphics card.

Cables are a bit messy, but they're so thick that I don't think there's much I can do. Thanks a bunch to the people on hardforum.com for helping me choose my components.

Put your CPU Fan on the other side of the heatsink... for a push-pull effect with the case fan.

Tidy up them cables... use zip ties wherever you can to bundle as much as you can and hide/tuck any excess cable(s) away.

I agree with enginurd's suggestion. Move the fan to the other side, so it pushes air across the heatsink. After moving across the heatsink, the case fan in the back will suck out that hot air.

Not quite sure yet. Partitioning the hard drive took ages, like always I'll have to play with it for a few days before I can really tell, but I'll tell you then.

is you ram in the correct slots? usually they go in the same color slots 1&3 or 2&4. i know not all motherboards are like that but its always something to double check.

it might be. Some motherboards have color identification for the RAM, but some don't.

Ah, it actually isn't. Gonna change it on my next reboot after updating Windows.

I wouldn't go by the sticker. You can easily tell by either arrows on the fan housing, or by looking at the blades to determine which direction it moves the air.
