We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

On a unix machine you can have many different shells. Is there a windows equiv or is the command prompt all that windows has?

Command prompt is all Windows comes with by default. Though you can find a 16 bit one (command) and a 32 bit one (cmd). The new Windows Vista is supposed to have a more capable shell (MSH?).

If you're looking for a unix-style shell for Windows, take a look at Cygwin or MinGW.

I believe M$ is planning to take out the Monad shell from Vista...but don't quote me on that.
