Hey all I had planned on getting a Westinghouse 42" but just recently I've gotten a jump in income because of a second summer job so I thought I'd look at other options.

Basically my job has a discount with Sharp where I can order the Sharp LC-46D92U directly from Sharp at a cost of $2,377.00 and Normal White Glove Delivery at $0.

I was looking at this tv on Crutchfield and it goes for $3300 on there.

I really couldn't find any reviews on this particular sharp tv besides two on amazon.com so I was wondering if anyone here would have some input as I've never dealt with Sharp.

My choices besides the Westinghouse at first has been the Samsung and Sony just because of the brand names to be honest. I've never owned a Sharp product but the specs look amazing non the less compared to the Westy 42".

There are a lot of personal experiences wiith this particular model over at the AVS forums:

Just a word of caution when the subject turns to banding issues. They're not as bad as some of these guys make it out to be. The rule of thumb I personally use is this: If you can't see any banding under any normal viewing conditions and situations, it isn't there. These banding issues are akin to backlight issues some have here. Seriously, how many watch a grey screen on their tv or a black screen on their lcd monitor?

I myself have a Sharp Aquos LC-42D72U and I'm loving this thing!
