Sharing internet??

Hey all,

I'm having great difficulties sharing my internet connection between computers. Here's my current setup:

I have a wireless network in our house. My main computer is using a usb-card to connect to the network. My other computer does not have a wireless card installed. I have an ethernet cable running from the main computer's network card to the other computers network card. However, when I try to share the internet on the main computer, (windows xp), it disables the wireless.

Any help would be appreciated!

if you have a wireless network i am assuming you have a consumer level wireless router (like linksys, netgear d-link etc.)

the router should be used as your dhcp server, so plug the cable modem into the WAN port, and connect the other computer via cable to the router, then the other computer should pick up on the wireless

The problem with that is, the router is located on a different floor of the house, and this network is shared between four other people.
