Sharepoint alerts

Anyone familiar with sharepoint? I recently moved the data base to another server and then rebuilt the original server with the same name and brought the content db back over. I see the alerts in the Immedsubscriptions table but they are not being sent. Also any knew alerts that are being set up are not being written to the table. I have tried various fixes that i found online but none have worked.

your best bet is to recreate them. Even doing an export/import in sharepoint breaks a bunch of the stuff you have setup, including alert.
we just some of this today at work and we HAD to recreate the alerts. Using MOSS2007 this is.
 
I am using MOSS2007 also, I don't care about recreating the alerts. That is the problem though any alerts I create aren't written to the table so they aren't working.
 
FYI: this is fixed on each site I have to go into the advanced settings for the task and turn off Send e-mail when ownership is assigned and then turn it back on. Stupid and annoying but it works.
