Shall I Upgrade/To What?

Well I've been considering upgrading my displays for a while, and I think it may be time. However after all the research I've done I'm starting to change my mind, and would like second opinions.

First of all, I should mention I have a 19" Viewsonic CRT and 17" Dell CRT. It's a bit of a mismatch but it's worked fine for me for years. My computer is a P4 2.8 Ghz, 9800 Pro that is due for an upgrade also.

The main reason I wanted to upgrade (aside from having nice monitors) was to play my XBox 360 on my computer monitor. I have a TV tuner card but it seemed to get lots of ghosting, so I figured I would bypass that step. I've used it with my Gamecube, XBox, and SNES before without TOO much trouble, but it's always been a bit of a hassle.

Art first I was looking at LCD's with component inputs... such as the 24" Dell and Gateway monitors. These things look like solid performers but are very expensive.... I would probably be buying one at a time.

After further research I realized I could just use a VGA cable to hook up to my computer monitor.... however I'm not sure if this would be better or worse than component connections. This made me think I would skip the upgrade or upgrade to something lesser.... I would like matching displays and 2 x 24" displays would run quite expensive.

So... what would everyone here recommend? Stick with current displays, and use a VGA cable? Upgrade to something with component inputs? Perhaps some decent LCD's I could pick up for this purprose? I'm fairly comfortable spending money on this, but I don't want to waste it on something I don't need. I am certainly fine with my current setup but would be much more likely to upgrade to LCD's if the price was more reasonable.

My dad was showing me this LCD that he will likely be getting for one of his employee's. He told me it is a great LCD, though he's not exactly an expert on the topic but knows plenty of people who are fairly familiar with LCD's. Would that be a wise purchase?

This will be used mainly for XBox 360 gaming, PC gaming and standard PC tasks. I would like something that will last me as long as my next PC (likely a summer project). Anything 19"+ is fair game for me, with the max probably being 24" (price makes going much higher not worth it).

Thanks in advance for all your help/recommendations... I know the post was long but hopefully I can get some questions answered.
