there is a place that is selling a few sgi 320s for $200 each..
http://www.dccworkstation.com/htm/Reviews/SGI320_Review.htm
they are single 500 mhz with 256 mb of ram and a 10 gig scsi...
i am thinking that i could get one, drop in another 500 pIII, another 10 gig scsi (which i already have, or maybe just a 120 gig), and upgrade the ram to 512 or even 768..
i like it because a. the case looks cool... it is different... and it has audio and video inputs and outputs... this means i could make a nice media pc that will hook up to a stereo and tv with standard rca connections...
so anyways, do people here think it is worth buying it for $200 and then dropping another $100 - $150 on it (might put in a burner) or could $350 be spent in a more productive way?
