Hey guys

I have been looking to upgrade my video card. I noticed that 9800GX2s have come WAY down in price as have the 9800GTX (although I hear the GTX has little increase over the 8800GTS, which I have) and I was wondering if the 9800GX2 fits in the SG03 with both 120mm fans installed. Thanks

Also wondering if a 9800GTX+ would be worth it over my 8800GTS, since they're about $100 cheaper than a GX2.
 
Yes, the 9800GX2 fits w/ both 120mm fans in the front. You won't be able to fit one of those metal fan guards / grills over the bottom fan though. Also, you might want to find a way to exhaust all the hot air the 9800GX2 spews back out into the case.

I have a 9800GX2 in my SG03 and am preparing to cut a 120mm fan hole on the top of the case.
 
Yeah I don't use the metal fan guard anyhow. Figure at the very least it makes more noise in the form of turbulence and my wires are tidy enough that I'm not worried about them hitting the fans.

I was kinda thinking about cutting a hole on the top of mine as well, or getting a PCI slot cooler, although that would be noisy.

How loud is the fan in the GX2?
 
It's pretty quiet. Probably as loud as the 120mm Cooler Master fans I've got up front. It only ramps up during heavy gaming and for a brief second when the computer is booting.
 
I gotcha that's good I heard that those cards get real hot so I kinda figured it meant that the fan works hard a lot more often.
