SG03 or Shuttle SP35P2

Hey guys, I just joined this forum after reading many threads and finding them VERY helpful. So first off, I would like to thank everybody here.

And now on to my question, I am in a dilemma as to what case I should use for a SFF build. I first saw the Silverstone SG03 and fell in love with it. However, I then extended my search and found the Shuttle SP35P2 P. This build has to be light/portable, and semi quiet. I will not be overclocking. The system I'm going to build will have the base parts of...

Q9450 (once it comes out)
4 gigs of ram
8600gt

Right now I'm leaning towards the shuttle, as it's smaller than the SG03, and portability is a must for me. However, I'm also worried about the shuttle being louder than the SG03.

Does anyone here have first hand experience with any of these two cases that can persuade me to go either way? And if there are other cases that I should consider please go ahead and mention them.

SG03 is huge compared to the Shuttle.

The only thing with the shuttle is that if you get a dual slot video card, say bye bye to your only other slot.

It sounds nice tho, quad core with a GTX. But I'd wait till the next gen of cards as well.

The rig is more light gaming and video editing/photoshoping. I know the SG03 is a lot bigger than the shuttle, but it's still within the range of what I need it to do. Another thing I like about the sg03 is that it has the oversized mesh panel, so i can put some cathodes inside it.

Go with the SG03, way more upgradable, don't get locked into the shuttle form factor, I made that mistake, they're awesome PC's, but they leave you wanting more. I'm back to ATX now heh.

yes the newest shuttles uses the P33/35/38 chipsets, which supports the upcoming 45nm processors.

Go with the SG03, way more upgradable, don't get locked into the shuttle form factor, I made that mistake, they're awesome PC's, but they leave you wanting more. I'm back to ATX now heh.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking of right now. With doubled the number of expansion slots I'll probably add a soundcard and TV tuner later on when I get the money.

Does anyone else have suggestions for uatx cases besides the SG03? My upper budget limit for the case is $150 though.

I'm more a fan of the SG-01 than the SG-03, I just really don't like the sideways opening things and the ugly ass side mesh thing for the PSU fan.

Hmm I don't really like how the SG01 looks. Idk, I probably just don't like shoebox computers. Anyways, anyone else here own the SG03 that have any other inputs?

I have an SG03. I've always wanted a Shuttle though, but since most of the high end cards were double slotted I went with the SG03. Now that the 8800GT is out, you can have room for a video card and a soundcard.

I think you'll have to ask yourself which is more important. Size or upradeability? If size is more important then choose the Shuttle. The SUG03 has more room for expanding and upgrading and although Shuttle intends to offer replaceable mobos I'm thinking the SUG03 will allow for a easier process overall and allow you a wider choice of components to choose from. Just my opnion anyway.
