Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, couldn't find anything. It's been bugging me for awhile, but I was just wondering if anyone has had much success with routing their cables in the SG03. I've got a modular psu and it's still such a mess; hate to see what would've happened if I had've gotten a regular one. Is there something I'm missing? Any tricks SG03 owners have to share? Pics would be great! I'd post my attempt if it wasn't so woeful...

Cheers guys :)

Ties are definetly required for good wire management. The psu you use can be a factor as to how much trouble you'll have. I'm using the Corsair HX520w unit. Mine is turned to take advantage of the NT06 hsf unit. You can, depending on your psu and rig set up, put cabling in front of the psu. The area between the psu and the front case fans. Keep it close to the psu though and bundle it tightly and secure it with ties. You can also put the cabling ontop of the psu between psu and case ceiling. There is also a small space between the optical drive and case ceiling. And then, if you are only using one hard drive, you can put the cabling into the extra space where the second hard drive would normally go.

Those are the places I can think of off the top of my head. Good wire management is hard in SFF boxes and the SG03 is no different in that respect but you can get good results if you take some time and think it through. I put my rig together and then went back and redid some things in the cabling to get it to all fit better. Which is how I do all my builds. I then used plastic strip ties and got it all bundled tight and out of the way and nothing is really hanging lose or in the way of airflow.

I hope this helps you :)

I got a SilverStone PSU to use in my SG03 since they're 100% modular. I purchased a SilverStone short cable kit, but most of the cables in the kit are still too long. So I cut up two of the six pin PCIe power cables and shortened them. One is 6" and the other is 5.5". That took care of the video card cable clutter. As for the 24-pin ATX power cable, I've found that the long one that came with the SilverStone PSU is actually better at not blocking airflow since I can sort of shape it / wrap it around the outside of the top 120mm fan. Anything shorter than the stock 24-pin ATX power cable ends up blocking some of the airflow. I routed the SG03's power and reset switch wires beneath the motherboard and routed the SATA cable to the optical drive around the edge of the motherboard.
