my sb61g2 idles 42c cpu and 50c system temp.... as configured my MBM5?? when fully loaded in a game like doom 3 it goes to 50cpu and 52 system. specs are

2.4c OC to 255 fsb. arctic silver 5.
2x256 pc3200 hyper-x
radeon 9800 pro AIW with vantec iceberq 4. arctic silver 5.
80gb WD hard drive
dvd-rw drive

no extra special cooling mods... just the stuff that came with the case.

maybe the mbm is configured wrong???

My SB75G2 does the same thing. System hotter than CPU, but only when playing games. I never really opened it up to look but I was guessing that the thermistor for the system temp was somewhere near the GPU, because I know it gets plenty warm.

I get similar readouts, right now my cpu temp is 35C and my system temp is 38C. I've modified my Shuttle though, it's got a heatsink rather than the stock ICE cooler. Don't pay any attention to any readouts other than the CPU. There could be something blocking airflow to the sensor or even moving warm air from other components to the sensors causing them to read weird temps.
