I'm in the process of building a SFF rig and then came across the search for a good power supply. My first question is a certain kind of power supply must be bought for SFF rigs due to the size? Second, would anyone have any recommendations for a X2 5200, 2Gigs, 7800GT SFF system?

It depends on the SFF. Some have proprietary PSU's others accept standard PSU's within reason. Most do have some limitations due to overall depths that need to be considered.

Yeah.

Start with the case and THEN figure out the PSU. ;)

OK step one is to throw the included power supply out. Then it does except most ATX power supplies nut you are going to want to use something shortish though and use short optical drives. What kind of price are you looking at for the PSU?

That comes with an undersized, over-rated 420W. You can use a "standard sized" ATX power supply, but it's a PITA and you have to use the smaller Lite-On-type optical drives just to be able to plug anything in.

You could consider this instead: http://www.sffclub.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_75&products_id=180

Same construction as Aspire, $16 less money, 1.5" deeper and accepts a standard sized ATX power supply without having to use a shoe horn to get the power connectors plugged in.
