Can you change the PSUs on SFF? Do any power supplies work? Or do you need special ones?

Depends on the case as to wether you can put a standard PSU in - Microfly, for example takes a standard PSU.

But yes you can always change PSU.
 
Saving space is always a good idea in a SFF case.

If you are building a SFF then take note of the measurements of the components, in this case the PSU and DVD to make sure that they will fit.

With a standard PSU the cable management with always be a bit of a pain as the power cables are longer than is needed for a SFF case.
