trying to build a micro atx machine for my brother to play games on. he's on a budget, so ill try to keep it to 1000 (monitor not included). no fancy $800 graphics card needed, hehe. not having any experience with micro-atx motherboards and their capabilities, i thought i'd ask if anyone has successfully build a micro atx gaming machine.
i'm not updated regarding the current cpu/gpu technology since i havent build anything in 2-3 years, so i wanted to ask what a good motherboard/cpu/ram/grahics card/hard drive /case/psu combo would fit that budget. non of those needs to be particularly the fastest out there.. just a good budget-performance compromise all around.. well maybe i could cut back a tiny bit from everything to throw something extra on the graphics card.. in any case, looking for reccomendations.
much appreciated.
thanks
btw whats c2d?
