Hi all,

I have a backup server that we use at work, that I used onboard motherboard raid at the time as it is all we had. This presented an issue because it only supports 4 drives in a raid 10, and I have 6 drives. So two are unused.

I came across a dell H310 PCI card today in a machine, that doesn't need it, not sure why it even had it, and want to put it into that server so I can get full performance (RE: storage) I had planed on, 6 3tb drives in raid 10. The problem being, I have no i dea what I need to swap it into the Supermicro.

Does this cable seem right? I would need two of them. (I already know I need a low profile backplate for this card, and can get one)

Yes, that is the correct cable.
It won't id the failed drive though, but not sure that case supports that anyways.

I don't nessecarily need it to do that, I already know by serial # which is in which.

Thanks for the help. I will place an order tomorrow :]
