I have a quick question regarding case, cpu, psu airflow.
Case: Silverstone Sugo SG06
Current setup:
Blue dots represent holes in the case.
The CPU cooler airflow is blocked by the PSU and HDD cage, there's a 20mm gap between the PSU and HDD cage, but cables run through there...
On the other side a large video card blocks air.
Issue: I was trying to silence my PSU fan by putting a 80ohm resistor on the +, but I managed to fry the fan controller, so I fixed it to the 5v line.
The PSU used to get loud (would start of silent but after watching a movie for ~30mins would start to get loud), I'm guessing because I had the CPU fan blowing in to the PSU... seemed logical for best airflow.
After fixing the PSU fan on to the 5v line, I swapped the CPU fan to blow down on to the CPU.
Questions:
Do you think the CPU fan and PSU fan will cancel each other out to certain degree as they are working in opposite directions... or will they both get enough air from the case holes?
Do you think the PSU will be cooler or hotter?
