Severely delayed Notifications....

I was wondering why my Notifications were hit and miss. I was only getting a few a day- when I was active in a bunch of threads.

Then today, all of a sudden, my Inbox has been flooded with old notifications from the past week.

Don't know if you guys have changed something or what... but I've disabled Notifications because it was such a pain wading through all these Notifications.
 
Happening for me too, today. But I don't see it as reason enough to disable email notification. It's a temporary hiccup which happens on most forums from time to time. Could be due to server-related hiccups or could be due to a forum software upgrade related hiccup. The impact will be worse if you've viewed and responded to threads numerous times since you last received an email notification of new posts in them.


Best way to deal with the flood of notifications is to log out, wait until all the old notifications have finished coming in, and then work your way through them. You only need use the last received notification for each thread, and then everything will be back on track.
